Here at The Fit Dads we try to actually practice what we preach or I guess, well… we would not be fit dads!! That is not to say we all don’t have our moments when we slack off.
One thing I can say is that after launching The Fit Dads just about 7 months ago it has kept me accountable for sure!
I have made the extra effort to get in the workouts when I felt tired or just not motivated. I have seen the results the workouts, the diet, and supplements have given me. I am down a good 20lbs and at 6’3″ 210ish I feel great! Part of the reason is you! All the fans of the site and the other dads that have joined. In the back of my mind when I want to slack, there is a voice that says… “Hey the other guys are getting in their workouts… MapMyRun just popped an alert that Mike Simone ran 400 miles ;-), or hey Practice What You Preach!” How is anyone going to take you seriously if you don’t put in the hard work.
I know I have failed more times in getting a good workout/diet routine going over the years, but I am in a good place now.
Let’s face it… it can be hard for anyone to find time to workout and if you have kids even more so. It can also be really expensive to eat healthy, and buy supplements. Those are great excuses and they work! I used to use them all the time and I hear it from people all the time, but there has to be a point in your life where you draw the line…
It is time to step away from the TV, the computer, the Ipad, and make the time to get in a workout or go play some sort of sport. You know you can find the time!
It is time to really look at how much money you spend on your daily eating habits and actually look at what you are putting into your body. You might just realize you are spending a car payment a month on Dunkin Donut/Starbuck trips, and $15-20 a day lunches at work and who knows what else.
I added that picture about to show you that I do Practice What I Preach… I have one Shakeology everyday for breakfast and sometimes switch it up for lunch… I use the core multi pack , and I will use the Jay Robb protein usually as an after workout drink and snack before bed. People ask me do you eat real food? I tell them I probably eat more real food then they do all day as well, I just make the right choices and the supplements just give me body exactly what they need. Face it when you workout out hard you burn calories, you boost your metabolism and you want to EAT!! This is why supplementation helps!
What is holding you back from getting the results you want? Whatever they are change them!

Hey welcome to The Fit Dads!
My name is Chris Azzari and I started the fit dads with Ken & Mike to keep us accountable and in shape! There is nothing better then having a group of friends keeping each other accountable. Our goal is to help other dads either get in shape or stay in shape. We all know we want to keep up with our kids ;-)
Anyways you can read more about The Fit Dads here....
A little about me...
I am a 34 year old father of two boys. Maxwell "3" & Westin "9 months". My wife Stefanie is a stay at home mom and keeps busy running those two rug rats around ;-) She also stays in shape by working out.
I have always been an active guy. In high school I played sports all year long, ate whatever I wanted and had tons of energy. Of course as I got older, went to college that all started to slack. I always made sure I was somewhat active and would hit the gym here and there, but my diet was horrible as most college guys are. At 6'3" I was always able to carry an extra few pounds and still look OK, but feeling OK was a different story.
It all changed...
Up until 2010... actually wait let me rewind for a second here. Back in 2001 I actually tried my first Beach Body program which was called Power 90 "it was on VHS ;-)". This was the prequel to the famed P90X. I did not know much about BeachBody or Tony Horton back then. All I knew was I did this workout for about a month and I felt great! The spring was back in my step and I was feeling good. Of course I slacked...
For the next 9 years I would be in "Gym Limbo"... you know aimlessly walking around the gym and not really having a plan or actually following through. Barely even breaking a sweat sometimes. Of course it was better then nothing, but I was never really getting the results I wanted. At one point I was 252 pounds, the most I have ever weighed. Nowadays I am usually around 220-225.
OK back to 2010... I saw the Insanity commercials and said hey I remember the Power 90 workout and this looks way more intense. My first son was just born and it was hard to find time to get to the gym let alone workout, so I figured this will save me time and money. I decided to take the challenge. All I could say was wow! I was getting the workout of my life. I was so sore the first few weeks, but I felt great.
